Men’s recruit: Calvert Hall senior attackman Kelly signs with North Carolina

Calvert Hall senior attackman Patrick Kelly has signed a national Letter of Intent to play Division I lacrosse at the University of North Carolina.

Club affiliation: Trilogy and Got Skillz

Major Lacrosse honors: 2 time Prep Player of the Week, All Metro and All MIAA, lead the league last season in points, C. Markland Kelly Award Finalist,2 time team Baltimore for Under Armour All American

Academic honors: Honor Roll for 6/6 semesters, 4.0 GPA, National Honor Society, Peer Educator, Spanish National Honor Society

Intended major: undecided

Why did I choose school: “Coach (Joe) Breschi (UNC) is a great coach and man that is a great positive influence. North Carolina is one of the best teams in the country and is also a great school. My dad, mom, two uncles, and aunt went there and my cousin Frankie is currently playing there and my cousin Stephen (2013) is committed to play there so it should be a lot of fun playing with my cousins and keeping the legacy going.”

HS team outlook for 2012:
“To win an MIAA championship.”
