Kent Island senior midfield Amanda Ackermann has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

What will you major in/study? Kinesiology
Why did you choose PSU? “I chose Penn State because I absolutely love the family atmosphere! I’m glad to be coached under a fresh start by Missy Doherty. It is a great school, a great program, and I cant wait to be a Nittany Lion! Go State!”
What is your outlook for the upcoming season? “My high school lacrosse outlook for this year is to win our division (North Baysides), and as a captain I look forward to taking my team into playoffs and finish with a good record!”
Additional comments: “I would like to thank my mother for all the love and support that she has given me through my life, and how she has always pushed me to be my best, not just in lacrosse but in everything I do!”
