Men’s lacrosse: Salisbury dominates McDaniel, 22-1

Top-ranked and host Salisbury scored eight first-quarter goals en route to a 22-1 victory over McDaniel in non-conference men’s lacrosse action on Wednesday.

Playing in its first-ever game on February 29, the Sea Gulls (4-0) dominated play from beginning to end by winning 24 of 25 faceoffs, outshooting the Green Terror, 53-18, and converting 13 of 15 clear attempts.

The SU offense was channeled through junior midfielder Ryan Clarke and senior attackman Erik Krum. Clarke finished the game with two goals and a team-high five assists to lead the Gulls with seven points. Krum scored a team-best five goals.

Ben Yancheski (Dulaney) broke up the shutout, scoring for the Green Terror (1-2) with 12:50 to play in the contest.
