Boys’ lacrosse: Boys’ Latin improves to 3-0 with 8-6 win over Florida power Lake Highland Prep

Boys’ Latin improved to 3-0 today as sophomore Shack Stanwick scored twice in the final period and Kolby Caplin made 14 saves to key an 8-6 victory over previously undefeated Lake Highland Prep (FL) in Boca Raton, Fla.

The Lakers had scored six unanswered goals to take a 6-2 lead before lake Highland Prep (8-1) scored just before the half to make it 6-3.

BL played defense almost the entire third period and hit two pipes as LHP chipped away, tying the game at 6-6 going into the fourth quarter. Stanwick (three goals, three assists) netted the next two goals, the first on an EMO, and the second on a 5-pass fast break off an assist from Colin Heacock.

Ben Pridemore added two goals for the Lakers while Greg Pyke, Michael Lynch and Andrew Roswell each scored once.
