Century moved up to the No. 2 spot and as McDonogh strengthened its hold on No. 1 in this week’s BaltimoreLacrosseNews.com Girls’ Rankings.

McDonogh (7-0) continued to roll by downing Bryn Mawr, 16-8, and St. Paul’s, 20-10, in the IAAM. Century had two easy wins over Francis Scott Key and South Carroll.

This Saturday St. Paul’s will host the inaugural Maryland-New York Challenge. The matchups for the first day are ideal: No. 1 McDonogh vs. Long Island’s Garden City at 5 p.m., No. 6 St. Payul’s vs. LI’s Hauppauge at 11 a.m., No. 3 Bryn Mawr vs. LI’s St Anthony’s at 1 p.m., and John Carroll vs. Upstate NY’s West Genesee at 3 p.m. Sunday’s matchups will be created by the LaxPower rankings so No. 1 from each state meets No. 1, etc.
