What will you major in/study?: “I am not sure yet, but I am interested in Biology, Psychology, and Spanish.”
Why did you choose Lafayette? “I chose Lafayette because I love the campus, academics, and lacrosse program.
“In my college search, finding a team with players that work hard academically and work well together athletically was very important and I found that at Lafayette.
“On my first visit, I was paired with some of the sophomores on the lacrosse team who told me about how they have made friends with many other students outside of the lacrosse team because it is a very close community. These girls in general seemed to really love the school.
“Another important piece in my search was finding a good coaching staff. The women’s lacrosse team at Lafayette has a great coaching staff lead by Alison Fisher. Ali was an 3-time academic All-American while attending Lafayette. As much as Ali emphasized that she would like to see her team win the Patriot League title and get to the NCAA tournament, she also finds it important that each player on her team have a great college experience.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “My high school team is really excited about this season. With our new (as of last year) coaches, Brooke-Kuhl McClelland, Tommy McClelland, and Kelly Peters, the program has really grown and our team has had a lot of great wins.
“We are looking forward to the first annual Baltimore/NY Challenge scheduled for April 21st and 22nd. Competition includes 4 top Maryland teams (Bryn Mawr #6, McDonough #1, John Carroll #45, and SPSG #25) and 4 top New York teams (Garden City #2, St. Anthony’s #3, West Genesee #4, and Hauppauge #10). The coaches have worked really hard to put this event together.”
Additional comments: “I would like to thank my St. Paul’s coaches, Brooke-Kuhl McClelland, Tommy McClelland, and Kelly Peters, and my club lacrosse coach, Monica Yeakel. I would also like to thank my brother and sister for coming to all of my games (even if they were being dragged along by my parents) and my parents for supporting me throughout my years of lacrosse and recruiting process.”
