Men’s recruit: Kent Island rising senior midfielder Plumer commits to Navy

Kent Island rising senior midfielder DJ Plumer has committed to play Division I lacrosse at the United States Naval Academy.

Major lacrosse honors: Freestate Top 44 2013, Brine National All-American

Academic honors: Maintains a 3.5 GPA

What will you major in/study? Political Science

Why did you choose Navy? “I chose Navy to have the opportunity to serve my country and play lacrosse at a very high level. I believe Coach (Rick) Sowell and his staff are committed to building a winning program and I want to be a part of it.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We will be a little young but still looking to win the state championship in the 3A bracket.”

Additional comments: “I would like to thank my Mom, Dad and sister for always supporting me in everything I do. I would also like to thank all the coaches who have helped me along the way.”
