St. Mary’s Annapolis rising sophomore LSM-defenseman Bryce Carrasco has committed to the admission process of Division I Princeton University.

College Choice: Princeton University

Club Affiliation: Baltimore Lacrosse Club (Crabs)

Major lacrosse honors: Maryland Freestate games, Crab feast, MVP Blue Hen, King of the hill, Jersey Shootout

Academic honors: Principal’s Honor roll student, class rank: 4

What will you major in/study? Undecided, possibly business

Outlook for 2013 HS season? “St. Mary’s just hired a completely new coaching staff so this season should be interesting. Talent wise I think that we have the potential to do big things in the MIAA. There is definitely a lot of young talent.”

Other schools considered: Johns Hopkins

Additional Comments: “I’d like to thank Matt Hogan, who has been one of my coaches since I started playing and is the Vice Principal at St. Mary’s. He’s helped me out a lot with the recruiting process and many other things.

“Thanks also to Dave Cottle who has taught me a lot about lacrosse and guided me throughout the process. Lastly Rob Chomo, who was the former head coach of St. Marys, who really helped me out with the decision making process and is a great coach.”
