Why did you choose Maryland? “I selected Maryland for several reasons. First, I felt very comfortable around Coach (John) Tillman and the coaching staff – they create a family atmosphere. Second, I believe in their coaching – reaching two back to back NCAA Championship games clearly shows their success.
“Third,The University of Maryland is a great academic institution. Fourth, it is close to home so the people that have helped me reach this point can come see me play which is important to me.
“Lastly I have always been a Maryland fan and it has been a dream of mine to play at College Park.”
What is your HS team outlook for next season? “Our team is going to be very solid again this year. Last year we advanced to the Maryland 4A State Semi-finals, which was a big step for our program which had not been there in 10 years. We return most of our starters and I believe we have the talent to make another strong run at the State Championship.”
Additional Comments: “I would like to first thank my parents for all their support – they have always encouraged me and been my biggest fans. Special thanks to my parents for driving me to Baltimore many times a week for Crabs practice! Thank you to my high school coaches at Churchill – Coach Fritz, Olan, Orns, and Rich. Also I am very grateful to the Crabs organization, Coaches Mcclernan and Kelly and the many other coaches, for helping me become a better player.”
