Why did you choose Maryland? “I’ve been a huge Maryland fan since I was little kid, so it’s always been a dream of mine to be a Terp. Also, Maryland delivers the total package with state pride, academics and a great Division I Lacrosse Program.”

Outlook for 2013 HS season? “I can’t wait to hit the field with my varsity team this year. Although we are young, our team has the skills to win in the MIAA. We have a new head coach in Ben Rubeor who brings a new energy and offensive attack to the team. For defense we are returning all starters from last year giving us a strong foundation to defend against the high powered offenses in the MIAA .”

Other schools considered: Duke, UNC

Additional Comments: “I’d like to thank my parents for giving me the opportunity to play at the highest level and attend a great school like St. Mary’s.

“Also, I’d like to thank Dave Cottle and Rob Chomo for their guidance throughout the recruiting process. I play club for Coach Cottle (Annapolis Hawks) who is a big influence on me as a player and has taken my knowledge of the game to a higher level, and Coach Chomo for believing in me and having the confidence to start me on varsity.

“A big thanks to Matt Hogan (Annapolis Hawks) for developing my style of defense from a young age till now. Lastly, Rick Roesner and Paul Gray (Looney’s Lacrosse) for the great experience and visibility over the last couple of years.”
