Garrison Forest junior midfielder Julie LeGar has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Maryland.

Why did you choose Maryland? “I chose Maryland because the team is like a family and the coaches are amazing! It is close to home and I grew up watching Maryland lacrosse. I also really love the campus.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We are continuing to grow and get better. We have a new head coach that I am really excited about and I am really looking forward to this season.”
Other schools considered: UVA, Duke, Hopkins, Princeton, and Loyola
Additional Comments: “I would really like to thank my high school coach, Jess Roguski Onheiser, for helping me with the recruiting process and helping me develop on and off the field. I want to thank my club coach, Chris Robinson, for his trust in me, for teaching me the game, and for making the game fun. I also want to thank my Mom for going through this whole process with me and helping me to become the player and person I am today.”
