Girls’ recruit: Broadneck junior midfielder Cassidy commits to Winthrop

Broadneck junior midfielder Madison Cassidy has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Winthrop University.

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose Winthrop? “Great academic opportunities, Coaches (John) Sung, and (Amanda) Shimp, the campus and athletic facilities.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We should advance pretty far into the playoffs.”

Additional comments: “Some of the coaches over the years that influenced me the most. Coaches Holly Carroll, Denise Probst, and Sue Chittim. I wouldn’t be the player I am today without these three strong influences on my game.”
