Boys’ recruit: Georgetown Prep junior midfielder Collins commits to Notre Dame

Georgetown Prep junior midfielder Brendan Collins has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Notre Dame.

Major lacrosse honors: #20 ranked Inside Lacrosse Young Gun Junior, Under Armour All-American Underclassmen Games (Washington DC), Nike Blue Chip, Brine Shootout, Baltimore Summer Kickoff All-Star

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose Notre Dame? “My older brother, Matty, currently playing at Notre Dame was a big influence on my decision because it gave me a first hand look at what to expect. The tradition, academics, and athletics all combined to make this a perfect choice for me.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We are looking to improve from last year in a number of ways. Should everyone buy into the team and its well-being, we can have tremendous success.”

Other schools considered: North Carolina, Johns Hopkins, Maryland

Additional Comments: “I’d like to thank my coaches, for teaching me the mechanics with which to succeed both on and off the field. Also, I’d like to thank my parents for their encouragement to succeed and support in decisions I make.”
