What will you major in/study? Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering

Why did you choose UVA? “I’ve been in love with the University of Virginia ever since I was a little girl and have dreamed about playing lacrosse for them for as long as I can remember. UVA had every personal and academic requirement that I was looking for in a school, as well as a high level lacrosse team, and they say you “get a feeling” when you’re on the right campus. I knew that UVA was where I needed to be and I’m so fortunate for that to have worked out in my favor.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “Being defending State Champions, especially two years in a row, always makes the upcoming season slightly more intimidating than just any other season. Like every team, we will need to work extremely hard to get where we will want to be, hopefully back in the state finals. We graduated a lot of seniors last season, but our junior class should be deep enough to fill those positions.”

Other schools considered: Duke, Maryland, Penn State

Additional Comments: “Playing against teammates who aspire to play high level lacrosse at SPHS creates a competitive atmosphere that any athlete would thrive in with a little hard work. I owe most of my lacrosse career to my coaches Carin Peterson and Julie Gardner, I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am today without their support and direction.”
