Girls’ recruit: Institute of Notre Dame senior defender Ocheda commits to Kennesaw State

Institute of Notre Dame senior defender Katherine Ocheda has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Kennesaw State University.

Major lacrosse honors: Unsung Hero

What will you major in/study? Nursing and Biology

Why did you choose Kennesaw State? “After visiting the campus and meeting Coach (Kristina) Llanes I fell in love with the schools educational system as well as their athletic program. The women’s lacrosse team of Kennesaw is the first program in the state of Georgia and I am excited to be a part of a new and upcoming DI team.”

Outlook for your HS team next season? “Only losing three senior last year, I believe our lacrosse team will have more chemistry this year and hopefully a winning season.”

Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my parents for always being there for me, my IND coaches, especially Mrs. Amy Conly for always supporting and believe in me, my SPLax coach, Coach Lauren Carrier, and all of my teammates.”
