Boys’ recruit: Chesapeake senior goalie Souder commits to UMBC

Chesapeake senior goalie Ruston Souder has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at UMBC.

What will you major in/study? Environmental Sciences

Why did you choose UMBC? “UMBC has a very strong Honors College that is close to home. It also has a great Lacrosse program with outstanding coaching and very talented incoming recruits.”

Outlook for your H.S. team next season? “Looking to be another top contender in the County. Returning over 90% of our scoring players from last season, we will look to them to carry the team while we bring in an almost all new defense.”

Additional Comments: “I’d like to thank all of my coaches who have pushed me to be in the position I am today. A special thanks to my first coach, Rodney Armero for being the first to teach me to play the goal. Thank you to my Dad who has been my biggest fan since the start of my career.”
