Boys’ recruit: Stevenson gets commitment from Bellmore (N.Y.) senior attackman Hartman

Bellmore JFK (N.Y.) senior attackman Daniel Hartman has made a verbal commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Stevenson University.

What will you major in/study: Business

Why did you choose school: “Stevenson University offered me the opportunity to receive a business degree while being apart of a school that’s expanding as the #3 up and coming school on the east coast. In addition to my education, I would also be given the opportunity to play for a program that is ranked by many as the #1 Division 3 program in the country.”

Outlook for high school team in 2013: “This year at Bellmore JFK, we are returning almost all starters from the 2012 season and have very high expectations for the upcoming 2013 season.”

“I would like to thank my parents for supporting me academically and athletically. I would like to thank Coach Papach and Coach Savage, my high school coaches, who supported me on the lacrosse field. In addition I would like to thank my personal trainers, Keith McKeel, Pat McCabe, and Ronny Klausner for teaching me the skills to play lacrosse at this level. Lastly I would like to thank Coach (Paul) Cantabene and Coach (Tim) Puls for making me feel apart of the Stevenson Family.”
