HS boys’ roundup: Boys’ Latin topples Penn Charter (PA); St. Mary’s Annapolis wins

Junior Shack Stanwick had four goals and two assists and host Boys’ Latin (MD) won 14 of 18 face-offs as the No. 1 Lakers toppled Penn Charter (PA), 11-3, Friday in non-league boys’ lacrosse.

Christian Knight (six saves) and Colby Caplin (five) combined for 11 saves for the Lakers (3-0).

For Penn Charter (0-2), Sean McKee made 13 saves in goal while Dean Roseman, Nick Bambino and Drew Murray each scored once.

St. Mary’s Annapolis 11, DeMatha 7

Cole Robertson had three goals and two assists and Skyler Morris made 14 saves to lead the Saints (1-1) to the win.

Greyson Torain had three goals while Sean Doyle had a goal and an assist for DeMatha (1-1). Brad Peters (11 saves) and Nick Ramsey (seven saves) split the goaltending chores.

Severn School 16, Archbishop Curley 6

Ryan Lamon had five goals and three assists while Brett bedard scored four goals and Hunter Gray added three goals and an assist for Severn (2-0).

Garrett Reynolds had two goals for Archbishop Curley (0-1).

Hill Academy (Ontario) 13, Landon School 8

No. 7 ranked Hill improved to 5-1 on its southern trip, dropping the No. 10 Bears to 2-1.
