Landon School (MD) rising junior goalie Hunter Sells has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Johns Hopkins University.

Hunter Sells log:

Hunter Sells

Hunter Sells

High School: Landon School, Bethesda, Md.

Year of graduation: 2015

Position: Goalie

College choice: Johns Hopkins

Club affiliation:

Academic honors: Honor Roll II

Intended major: Economics/business

Why did you choose school: “The lacrosse and academics are both among the best in the world. Along with the lacrosse facilities and amazing campus, JHU felt right throughout my entire visit.”

Looking back at last season and ahead to 2014: “We didn’t play as well as we should have and our record shows that. We had a lot of talent, but struggled to have our offense and defense both perform to the best of their capabilities at the same time. Next year is looking good on offense with many returning starters, but our defense has many holes to fill. We went 12-1-1 over the summer so hopefully we can continue the success into the spring and win a 29th IAC title.”

Other schools considered: Maryland, Fairfield, Penn, Georgetown, Brown, and Notre Dame.
