Boy’s recruit: McDonogh 2015 attack-midfielder Austin commits to Loyola

McDonogh School rising junior attack-midfielder Bobby Austin has made a commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Loyola University.

Academic honors, service projects: Eagle Scout, Honor Roll

What will you major in/study? Business/Finance

Why did you choose Loyola? “Loyola’s strong academics, size, location, and their lacrosse program. I really enjoyed getting to know Coach (Charley) Toomey, Coach (Matt) Dwan, and Coach (David) Metzbower. After visiting Loyola, I decided it was the place for me.”

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “We (McDonogh) had a great season this past spring and made it to the MIAA Semi-finals. Most of the team is coming back for next season and we are looking forward to working hard to have another great season.”
