Girls’ recruit: St. Mary’s 2014 defender Roussil commits to St. Mary’s University

St. Mary’s senior defender Colleen Roussil has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Mount St. Mary’s University.

College Choice: Mount Saint Mary’s University

Club Affiliation: CCLax

Major lacrosse honors: Maximum exposure (2 years), Champions Cup, All-Star Express, Sand Storm (Calif.), President’s Cup, and numerous IWLCA tournaments

Academic honors, service: Principal’s Honor Roll, led Kairos XIII, have attended Annapolis food drop 2011 and 2012, member of Student Government (Vice President of my class 4 years in a row), St Mary’s Leadership award for Outstanding Excellence in the Classroom, Clubs and Socially

What will you major in/study? Biology

Why did you choose the school? “I choose The Mount for many different reasons. For example, the coaching staff (Coach Johnson and Cahill), the size of the school, the location and the family atmosphere of The Mount.”

What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “Last season we received an excellent new coaching staff that had a lot to bring to the table and are very excited about the program. We are all looking forward to this season; the team has a lot of talent. Though we are in a very challenging division, this upcoming season looks very promising.”
