Roland Park Country School (MD) senior goalie Rachel Poverman has made a commitment to play Division II lacrosse at Pace University.

Rachel Poverman ledger:

Rachel Poverman

Rachel Poverman

High School: Roland Park Country School

Graduation Year: 2014

Position: Goalie

College Choice: Pace University

Club Affiliation: Looney’s Lacrosse Club

What will you major in/study? Business

Why did you choose Pace? “I chose Pace for a few reasons. One reason was location. I wanted to be near NYC and Pace offers that. I will be living on the Pleasentville Campus because that is where the team will be but I will have access to NYC whenever I want because of classes and free time on the weekends. I also chose Pace because I wanted to be a start of something new and now I get to be on the first women’s lacrosse team the school has ever had. I also loved the coach when I met him. He is so nice and wants the best for the school, the program and for you as an individual.”

Outlook for your High School team? “I feel we are going to be very good because we have a lot of raw talent on the team that has yet to be revealed.”

Other schools considered: Kean University, Drew University
