Brine/TopLaxRecruits North America Girls’ High School Rankings: Look for game coverage, tweets from Vero Beach

A number of the nation’s top teams in the Brine/ North America Rankings – highlighted by No. 1 McDonogh School (MD) and its 91-game win streak – are converging on Vero Beach (FL) beginning today as the season kicks into gear. will be providing game coverage and tweets for all three games involving the Eagles.

Here is a rundown of the schedule at Vero Beach High School and Indian River Lacrosse Field:

Tuesday: No. 17 Georgetown Visitation (DC) at No. 12 Vero Beach (FL), 5 p.m., at VBHS (VB wins, 16-15)
Wednesday: No. 17 Georgetown Visitation (DC) vs. Benjamin School (FL), noon, at VBHS
Wednesday: No. 1 McDonogh School (MD) vs. No. 12 Vero Beach (FL), 7 p.m., at VBHS
Thursday: No. 1 McDonogh School (MD) vs. No. 17 Georgetown Visitation, 3 p.m., at IRLAX
Friday: No. 17 Georgetown Visitation (DC) vs. Barron Collier (FL), 5 p.m., at IRLAX
Friday: No. 1 McDonogh School (MD) vs. No. 7 Harriton (PA), 7 p.m., at IRLAX
Saturday: No. 7 Harriton (PA) vs. No. 12 Vero Beach (FL), 5 p.m., at VBHS

McDonogh (0-0) is the five-time champion of the powerful Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland and has recorded four straight undefeated seasons. The Eagles are 12 wins shy of the national record for consecutive victories by a girls’ team. Harriton (0-0) is the defending Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) champion. Vero Beach (8-0) has won eight straight Florida state titles and Georgetown Visitation (0-0) is a perennial power in the DC Independent Schools League. Both Barron Collier (8-1) and Benjamin School (6-1) are state powers.

Vero Beach also is playing No. 15 St. Paul’s School (MD) on Thursday at Disney World’s Wide World of Sports Stadium at 5 p.m.
