What will you major in/study?Education

Why did you choose the school? “From the minute I arrived at Robert Morris University the coaching staff talked to me with a powerful positive grateful and respectful attitude. RMU shared their coaching beliefs that was not focused on lacrosse but focused on integrity and character building through this team. Lacrosse does not define me as a person so when these coaches talked I really believed that they cared first and foremost in helping their players develop great character and great integrity. This is how I have been raised all of my life so I knew from Day 1 I found my new home. The girls on the team were so friendly, helpful and amazing hard working athletes. As soon as I walked onto RMU’s campus I fell in love. I am so proud and thankful I am allowed the opportunity to go to RMU and be a part of this competitive program. I could not be more grateful.”

HS team’s Outlook for 2015 HS season? “Our 2013-2014 JV team was undefeated and our 2013–2014 varsity team was the best it has ever been. In our area and the division we play in this is a remarkable achievement because lacrosse in Maryland is so competitive. Archbishop Spalding’s Coaching Staff is so fortunate to have two very gifted and talented coaches – Coach Tara and Coach Donny are the main reasons why the Spalding teams each year perform at such a high level. This combination will be powerful and hard to beat. The new team members on Varsity will respect and support last year’s varsity players and do everything they can to make sure these senior’s leave as #1 State Champions. This is a championship hungry team. The team has the skill and the determination to win.”

Thank You: “There are so many people that have contributed to me achieving my dream. I would like to thank my family first, without their love and support I could not have done anything. A very special thanks to all my coaches; Tara Shea, Kate Hickman, Donny Restly, Shannon Garden and Mike Bousman. Coach Kate and Coach Tara gave me amazing advice on how to pick a college opportunity that was best for me. These coaches certainly helped me develop my lacrosse skills and field awareness – more important my coaches helped me with their advice to become a better person and a leader. My coaches were the best role models who taught me what it takes to get to this level. I am so thankful for them and can never re pay the. Coach Donny has been working with me and shaping me as a player since freshmen year. Coach Shannon and Coach Mike gave me the drive to become a better player. They taught me things about lacrosse that I never knew. One last special thanks to my brother Matt McArdle. He left home at age 12 to go and achieve his dream of becoming a D1 hockey player. Without him as my mentor and my role model I would not of been able to achieve this. He has showed me that you have to work to get what you want and never quit until you get it. I am so thankful for all these people who helped me get where I am today.”
