High School: South Carroll

Graduation Year: 2016

Position: Attack

College Choice: Shippensburg University

Club Affiliation: Check-Hers Elite

Lacrosse Honors: Capital Cup, Varsity Sophomore Year

What will you major in/study? Psychology

Why did you choose Shippensburg? “I chose the school because I loved the welcoming feel when you arrived on campus, I loved the school spirit each student portrayed in the school. I as well loved that the school was the perfect size.

“As for the lacrosse aspect, I really enjoyed the team when I went for visits and I think the coach, Ashley Manion, is going to further my skill level and I think she is a great coach and I’m really excited to get to work with her. Also, another one of the 2016 commits is one of my close friends, Mack Ferguson, who is a goalie, as well helped me decide on what school was best for me.”

Outlook for 2015 High School season? “I think we will have a great turn out this year. There is a lot of heart and dedication in the girls on the team this year, along with our coach, Brigid McTavish, who is spectacular. Carroll County being one of the most difficult counties to be in for the state of Maryland, our team looks forward to another fantastic year!”

Thank You: “I want to thank my mom and dad for being at every game and practice. Even if hearing my dads yelling on the sideline wasn’t always my favorite thing, I wouldn’t be engaged in the amount of passion and heart without them. Along with the rest of my family and friends always supporting me at every single event and loving to see me grow as a player and person.

“I also want to thank my first coach, coach Erich. Even though you threw that red redskin hat on the ground at me so often, I know you’re one of the most proud people of me. Also a big thanks to my coaches Jess Wynne, Connie Tumulty and Jenny Cavey for being the best club coaches and supporters any player could ask for.

“And last but not least the president of my team, Tracey Rohrback. She helped me so much find the best fit for me, and always found a way to build me up every time I felt down and I couldn’t be happier to be part of an organization like Check-Hers Elite. I’ve been truly blessed with my amazing support system. Huge thanks to everyone! Couldn’t have done it without you!”

Other schools considered: Gannon University, RMU, La Salle
