Isaac Avon

High School: Damascus

Graduation Year: 2016

Position: FOGO

College Choice: Virginia Military Institute – VMI (ConnectLAX college profile)

Club Affiliation: Lax Factory

Lacrosse Honors: All-Division team Montgomery County

What will you major in/study? Economics and Business

Why did you choose VMI? “I chose VMI for one reason and one reason only, its not an ordinary college. The motto is no ordinary life, and that is what I wanted. The easy road is always taken, I like to take the hard path. The coaches are great to be around and the brotherhood of the team is like no other. It’s what I want to be apart of.”

Outlook for 2015 HS season? “This year our high school team will be pretty good. With the loss of three strong midfielders all playing college lacrosse, our middies will have to step up. With Matthew Torrence, Lebanon Valley commit, and other Midfielders, we hope to step up and fill in the gap needed to be filled. Our goal is to attain a Regional Championship which we made it to last year but lost to Urban 13-12 in overtime.”

Thank You: “I would like to thank my parents for supporting me in every thing I did and paying for expensive tournaments. I would like to thank Trey Wilkes and Josh Funk for being awesome coaches and helping me get to where I am. Also, my team Lax Factory and Damascus for helping me develop. Along with Matthew Torrence for being a daily inspiration.”

Other schools considered: NJIT, Navy
