Summer Tournament tryouts

Registration for the 2013 Brine National Lacrosse Classic is now open to high school boys and girls presently in grades 9-to-11. The 2013 Brine National Lacrosse Classic is a collection of the top high school players in the nation. Players can qualify for selection by attending regional tryouts conducted throughout the country. The Brine NLC will be held in 2013 from June 30-July 3 again at the Maryland Sportsplex in Boyds.
Players from the Baltimore/Maryland Public boys’ region can click here to register for the boys’ tournament tryouts at CCBC-Dundalk (see details below) on Dec. 1. Click here to register for the Baltimore Public boys’ tryouts to be held in June at South River.

Summer Tournaments

The 11th Annual Evolution Games, June 29th-30th, Downingtown PA. Over 100 teams from all over the country including top programs in the area. U9-4 games guaranteed for $850, U11-U15 A+B Divisons-5 games guaranteed for $1250, High School A+B Divisons-6 games guaranteed for $1500. Some past participants include Black Bear, Dukes Lacrosse, Team Philadelphia, Tri-State, and many local High Schools. Sponsors and Vendors welcomed. The Philly LXF, July 13-14, at two sites in Philadelphia, U9-U15 teams from Philadelphia city and suburban and the surrounding region. Everyone is guaranteed three games and organizations sending more than one team will be eligible for the Team Cup Challenge. Price is $750 for early-bird registration. The 6th Annual Patriot Games will be held July 20-21 on 23 fields at three venues in Bucks County. Nearly 200 teams from across the country and Canada (representing many emerging hotbeds) played in the event this past July. We anticipate an even more competitive and diverse field again this year! Recruiting Tournament

The National Invitational 175 Summer Showcase, invitation-only high school showcase, to be held in Upstate New York on July 29th – 31st, 2013.
Elite players in the classes of 2014, 2015 and 2016, that are interested in attending the showcase can click here to access more information on the National Invitational 175 Showcase website or click here to apply through a quick form.
There is no charge to apply. After you submit your application, you will need to forward the link to a coach that knows you and your ability so that he can provide a recommendation on your behalf.
Upon receiving your application and your coach’s recommendation, your application will be complete and you will be placed into a pool of candidates that will be considered for invitations.
The applications take only a few minutes to complete.

The showcase is expected to attract coaches from well over 50 college programs in Division I and Division III based on last year’s event and interest in this Fall’s National Invitational Fall Select in November.

Clinics

High School Lacrosse Prospect Clinic, hosted by the Delaware Men’s Lacrosse Staff composed of head coach Bob Shillinglaw and assistants Greg Carroll, Rob Cross and Peet Poillon, Sunday January 27th for all High School players interested in playing at the college level. This clinic will be a great opportunity to get coached by the Delaware Men’s Lacrosse staff. The staff will provide information on the NCAA recruiting process. All participants are invited to the UD vs Colgate Scrimmage Saturday January 26, 12:00 in Delaware Stadium.

Summer Showcase

Villanova 150: The Villanova 150 will bring together some of the most talented rising sophomores and juniors in the country to compete in a three-day showcase. Open to all prospects in the 2015 & 2016 classes, this three-day, two-night event will feature a practice run by college coaches, a recruiting seminar presented by the Villanova Men’s Lacrosse coaching staff, as well as 5 one-hour games for players to showcase their talents.
Session I: June 29th-July 1st 2013
Session II: July 12th-14th, 2013

This showcase camp is designed to provide rising/repeating high school juniors from all over the country with advance skill development in a highly competitive tournament style-playing environment. The showcase will also enable the athletes to display their skill in front of college coaches from Division I, II, and III teams. These coaches will be invited to act as instructors as well as recruiters. Off the fields athletes will take part in strength and speed training clinics (results will be available to take home after camp), recruiting and academic seminars, and a leadership character-building seminar.

Camps

Villanova Overnight Instructional Camp, July 9-12, 2013, The overnight instructional camp is designed for athletes aged 11-to-17 that are interested in improving their basic skills and learning the techniques of lacrosse. The camp will be divided into a two junior divisions (11- and 12-year olds and 13- and 14- year-olds) and a senior division (15-to-17).
The entire Villanova University Men’s Lacrosse staff as well as local high school coaches and many of the best current college players will be coaching. The highly skilled and beginners will benefit from the college and high school coaches who teach at the camp.
The first session begins Tuesday afternoon, July 9. The first meal provided will be dinner on Tuesday evening. There will be two sessions on Tuesday, three sessions on Wednesday and Thursday and a morning session on Friday, July 12th. Campers will be housed in air-conditioned Villanova dormitories and meals will be provided in campus dining facilities. Camp 1: For 4 days in June (17th – 20th), the Mountain Hawks Day Camp.
This camp was developed to help all levels, beginners through advanced players, improve their skill set with exceptional college level instruction in all aspects of the game. The LEHIGH MEN’S LACROSSE STAFF as well as LEHIGH VARSITY PLAYERS, along with other college coaches and college players will be here to pass on their energy and knowledge on to you! At the end of the week we will see just how far we have come in our Mountain Hawks Skill Competition! EXTENDED DAY (Option): Extra skill work with the staff is available for first three days.
Camp Details: • Boys entering grades 1st – 10th; • The LEHIGH Lacrosse coaching staff, college coaches and current players will give individual instruction; • All Campers receive a subscription to INSIDE LACROSSE magazine; • We will be using the men’s lacrosse home field, Banko on Goodman Campus.
